My fiance and I are getting married in June, and I am trying to decide on our first dance song. I would LOVE to do “Forever and Ever Amen” by Randy Travis… we have always loved this song and we love Randy Travis. Also, right after we got engaged, we were riding in the car and this song came on, and he actually started crying, which was so sweet.
Anyway, my one concern is that this song is too fast/upbeat for a slow dance. I am incredibly awkward and clumsy, so I’m not trying to do anything fancier than that.
Has anyone uses this song, or heard it being used?? I really want it for the wedding, but I don’t know if it will work!!!

Do a nice two step. They can be adjusted to the timing of the song.
I LOVE the idea of using that song, mostly becouse I have always been in love with that song.

I love that song and don’t think you can go wrong with it as your first dance. Yes, it may be a little more upbeat than others, but if it means something to you and your fiance – then I think that is all that matters! As mentioned above, a two-step would be great!
My fiance and I are playing an instrumental version of this song during our ceremony! Below is the link to a sample!

Ugh I just don’t know if I can do a two-step… I am so clumsy and awkward and i will have so much other stuff to deal with, without worrying about this! I guess maybe I’d better pick something slower.

@amandaleigh: Have you ever tried two step? It’s pretty well fool proof!
