@Mars62312:  We’re considering You Are The Best Thing also! We’re not sure if we’re going to actually do a first dance or not but we’re picking a song etc. just in case.

Other options include: Sea of Love by Cat Power and The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra.

Stolen – Dashboard Confessional. For the Scrubs fans out there, this is the song playing when Elliot and Keith get engaged – I love it!

@subjunctivitis:  I ADORE Sea of Love. 🙂 The original version is also pretty sweet, but Cat Power is just lovely.

After changing songs thirty times, we are finally decided! We’re doing the Ray Charles version of “Come Rain or Come Shine”

Well, Fiance hates dancing and although we’ve been together for 12 years, we don’t have a song that I would refer to as “ours”.

So, I’m thinking of Fairy tale of New York” by Pogues & Kirsty McColl. Because its a christmas wedding, the lyrics at the beginning are actually quite sweet and include “this year’s for me and you”. The couple bickering at the start remind me of me n Fiance and best all of, he proposed in New York.

I think it might just work. The slow bit at start lasts for 60 seconds and I think even he can cope with that. When it speeds up, I’m inviting everyone on the dance floor to join us. God, I’m so excited just thinking about it!

@chachaya:  That’s the song I’m walking down the aisle to! My fave song!

My first dance song is going to be “Differences” by Ginuwine. Fiance and I are HUGE Ginuwine fans so the song is great for us!

Ok  I need some help – my Fiance loves Brian McKnight’s “Love of my Life” but I think his voice is way to high in the song. Does anyone else think this or know of a version in a lower key??

Also, considering “Love Never Fails” by Brandon Heath

We have been torn between two songs since we both love Adele’s version of “Make you feel my love” and Dave Matthews Band’s “Steady as we go”. Fiance loves both but thinks DMB’s song will be best for us since it hits home with us a lot (so does the Adele song but this one more). He let me decide so I am going to surprise him and he’ll find out our song when we dance together as husband and wife.

We’re undecided, but leaning towards “Everything” by Lifehouse.   Hazards of being a DJ is that you know WAAAAAAAY too many songs.
