- Wedding: November 2014 - Mauritius
Myself and Fiance have quite different tastes in music, I have a fairly eclectic taste in music however Fiance is heavy into drum and base, dubstep etc (which I don’t mind, but it has a time and a place). When it comes down to the finer details of the wedding, Fiance really doesn’t care that much, when it came to the first dance song I ummed and arred for ages, but recently we went to Glastonbury and saw Ed Sheeran play some of his new tracks, we both love Ed Sheeran, but Fiance for his more upbeat and rap songs, me for the more mushy. Because I now have my heart set on a song, I have asked him his opinion and he said whatever, he doesn’t really feel much either way for any romantic songs, when speaking to a few people about this is general, they told me oh no, it has to be a song special to both of you…well, that’s great, but what if you just aren’t ever going to find something that means a lot to both of you? Songs just don’t touch him emotionally in the same way it does me, or other people it seems, we have never had ‘our song’ or anything like that, and I am not having a dubstep podcaste remix as the first dance!!
Anyone else in a simular position? Should I just pick it and be done with it? He just won’t give me an answer either way and tells me it’s ages away (just under 4 months) – it’s not a massive deal really, but I really do love this song hehe
