So my Fiance and I are having the hardest time finding a first dance song! He really like Lonestar – “What About Now” but I really really don’t like this as a first dance song. It talks about buying a crappy old truck and getting out of town. Uhh, not first dance material. I suggested Zac Brown Band – “Whatever It Is” but he says that’s all about me…which I get so I didn’t push too hard for it. I also like Frank Sinatra – “The Way You Look Tonight” (which isn’t country obviously) but I have a feeling he’ll shoot it down simply because I don’t like the song he suggested.
So help me find a first dance song with the following:
1. Country (or something Frank Sinatra-ish)
2. Somewhat upbeat (FI does not want ot dance to a “sappy slow song” but I don’t want to dance around like we’re in a club lol)
3. Has somewhat gender-neutral lyrics (not only about the guy or girl)
Fiance isn’t opposed to having the dance somewhat choreographed if that makes any difference…
We are thinking of doing “stuck like glue” by sugarland! It’s definitely upbeat! Or here are some other suggestions: “love the way you love me” by faith hill, “I run to you” by lady A, “it must be love” by Alan jackson, Collin rate “in this life”
we’re total shitkckers, and I LOOOVE Texas Dirt Rd music. IDK what we’re dancing to, but I know I’m gonna have “Wear My Ring” by Bart Crow Band, and “Oklahoma Breakdown” by Stoney LaRue. But, I’m considering the Stoney song for us, but me and FH love “Cruise” & “Take a Little Ride”. I want something upbeat as well. God Gave me You can be done as a Cowboy Waltz, I think it’s called. I kinda wanna do the barn dance, to the song Wild West by Smokin Armadillos, I believe it is, to get everyone involved in a dance that doesn’t involve shakin anything lol…
