So me and my FH’s song has always been “Here without you” 3 doors down. He played this song right when it came out to get me back during “our weird situation”. And it has been our song ever since. I just need to know if you think that it is an appropiate 1st dance song?
eh…I don’t think I would use a song associated with a “weird situation” as a wedding song. Even if people don’t know the situation, the song sounds more like a “trying to get you back” song than a “We just committed our lives to each other” song. I vote no, I’m sorry 🙁
Maybe you could play it as background music during dinner or something? My Fiance and I have a song that’s “our song” but it’s not really slow or fitting for a first dance song, so we’re playing it at another point during the evening.
Most people won’t understand what it means to you. Its not really the right type of song for first dance so I vote no. However, you can play it later in the night and dance with your Darling Husband to it.
If it is “your” song and the two of you know the meaning, then no matter what the song is, it is appropriate. No one else has to understand it. No one else will remember what song you danced to for your first dance, but the two of you will remember and if this is the song that is special to the two of you, then this is the song you should dance to.
