It depends on your audience. I know for sure that no one in my circle of family or friends would freak (or notice) ONE word. But there are definitely some families that would have a major problem.

Unless your guests are ultra conservative with acute hearing, that song will be fine.

I agree with the PPs I dont think one word (being shit of all words) would be horribly offensive. I think the song would be great!

Are you having any other songs played throughout the night that are going to have other mild curse words?  Ass? Shit? Damn?

I mean, if a lot of songs being played are having words like b!tch, sh!t, or worse then I would have a problem with that.  But a couple songs here and there with ass, shit, or damn wouldn’t bother me.  Have the time people will be singing along and they will expect the word anyways, the rest will be talking amongst other poeple and may not even notice

It’s used in a cute real life way.  Everyone uses that expression so I think you’re good with this song.  Oh and I REALLY like the song!

What a great song!  I’ve never heard it before.  If your friends/family are anything like mine, it shouldn’t be a big deal at all.  We’re all pretty easy going people.  And I don’t think it’s obvious in the lyrics, anyway. 🙂

My family has pretty conservative musical tastes, and I wouldn’t have any problem playing that song in front of them. Personally, I would never have noticed the line if you hadn’t pointed it out, anyway.

If think most people hear worse on primetime t.v. these days. Plus, the way that it’s being used isn’t being derogatory or insulting a person, just the opposite in fact. Use it and own it! It’s your day!

I’d leave as is, it’ll be fine 🙂
