We went with a dance mashup, and it was an absolute blast. We planned the dance a few days before and rehearsed several times. It went pretty well comsidering the time press, we only made one real mistake. Check out the video. If you like the music, let me know and I can share with you. Also, help us share as you see fit.

Our’s was “Tougher than the Rest” by Bruce Springsteen. We are both big fans of his and have memories of listening to him with his parents. We closed out the wedding with “Rosalita” and it was a lot of fun!

“As” by Stevie Wonder. It had kind of become “our” song over the years we were together before the wedding, and it was fun to have our dance to an upbeat song! The lyrics are so perfect, I’m surprised more couples don’t chose it.

Our song was The Way You Smile by Newsong….our runner ups were God Gave Me You by Dave Barnes.   Both are really good ones!

I’ll try to upload our video if my tech-savvy husband can help me!

Hello Bees.

My Destination Wedding (pamelina22) wanted to share our first dance so I am trying to help out.  She spends a lot of time with you ladies and enjoys your kindness and helpfulness to each other – keep it up!  All is well here in our new household 🙂 – here is our first dance… I do love the way she smiles…

“Home” by Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros.

I also put a lot of thought into our last song of the night/send off song and had decided on “You and I” by Avalanche City. Well in the moment things got a little mixed up and our send off song ended up being “Twist and Shout.” Looking back I think it was perfect.

I am pretty set on “I’ll follow you” by Shinedown for the first song, although Fiance is meant to think of something he might like better. “Our” song is “I Really Like You” by Carly Rae Jepsen, which is not really our style or a classic first dance song, but damn, it is catchy.

We were talked into having a wedding and sprinkle a few things here and there to mess with people a little, so if I ever find an instrumental version of Tenacious D’s “Fuck her gently”, that will be what we walk down the aisle to.
