FH and I will be dancing to “Could It Be I’m Falling In Love” by The Spinners for our first dance, with a mix of rumba and hustle. My dad has his heart set on “It’s Your World” by Gil Scott-Heron for our dance. It’s a pretty fast tempo song, so we would also be doing hustle. I love the idea of both of these, because they’re different and I like that they’re a bit faster, but I’m starting to get concerned that it would take something away from each of them if I’m dancing hustle in both. I’d love your thoughts!
Also – to be clear, we’ll be doing social hustle dancing, not the line dance ‘The Hustle’

Well most people just do a basic slow dance for both so I don’t see how doing a different type of dance for both is any different than what the majority of people do.
The type of dance we did wasn’t what made those moments special.

I think it would be fine.

What makes it special is the meaning of the songs between you and who you’re dancing with. To be perfectly honest, I find the generic, slow, wedding songs some people choose, lacking. These are different, and it’s nice.

Not even going to Google these songs. Don’t care. Nothing. NOTHING. makes either dance, or both- any less important.
Girl- you do you.
