- Wedding: June 2011
So, my Fiance and I have been talking about the music for our wedding. We know it’s a long way away, but we both love music and want to put a lot of time and effort into making we play good stuff.
This got us on the topic of first dances. Maybe it’s just me, but I find the first dance part of weddings one of the most awkward things. I can remember at every wedding I’ve gone to, just feeling weird watching the couple while they shared what looked to be an intimate and loving moment. I know the brides have said they weren’t even paying attention to anyone else but their husband, but Fiance and I aren’t really the type of folks that will want to do the standard clutch and sway while everyone stares at us while we shuffle around to Leonard Cohen or something.
So…we were thinking of doing something a little different, something more fun! We were thinking about doing a choreographed dance to something fun. Our top choice right now is Gimme All Your Lovin’ by ZZ Top, and A Little Less Conversation by Elvis is also a contender. We just want something that would be fun for our guests to watch, and for us to do.
Any thoughts? 🙂
