I went out and bought about $100 worth of products and I’ve been watching make-up tutorials on youtube like crazy. I don’t wear a lot of make-up on a daily basis so I didn’t want to go out and spend a fortune on products that I will never use. This is what the finished product came out to be!

Wow, you look so gorgeous! I would have totally thought a professional make up artist did this for you. Great job!

you did a great job!! you have beautiful features.
i’m not sure if it’s just the camera and the lighting but your face and neck look like different colours/shades. do you see what i mean?? you definitely want to avoid that for your wedding pics.

I do see the difference, thank you!. I bought a lighter shade of foundation than I am now since our wedding in this winter. I’m pretty tan in the summer, but I figured it will fade in the next few months. I probably should have added some bronzer to even out the difference. There is always next time!

I’m impressed! It looks amazing!

i agree with the pp who mentioned the foundation colours. It doesn’t look like it is a perfect match. Other than that it is amazing. Would you mind listing the colours and brands you used for everything?

–Neutrogena Shine Control Primer
–Loreal True Match liquid foundation in creamy natural C3 (about two shades lighter than I actually am, I didn’t want to buy foundation to match my summer tan when we are getting married in January)
–Revlon Color Stay Under Eye concealer in Light
–Maybelline Mineral Powder Foundation in Natural Ivory.
–Loreal Wear Infinite eyeshadow in 824 Landscape
–Loreal Voluminous Waterproof mascara in Black
–Wet’nWild Waterproof liquid eyeliner in black
–Loreal True Match blush in Tender Rose C3-4
–Loreal Colour Riche Lipliner in Beyond Pink
–Revlon Creme lipstick #415 in Pink in the Afternoon
I’m also trying to find a good setting spray, so if anyone has any suggestions please!

The eyes are gorgeous! Great job! The only things I would recommend would be (if you wanted to!) try some eyebrow filler? Just to define them a tiny bit for pictures. Also, for the day-of, some clear lip gloss in the middle of your lips and then lightly over the rest makes them pop and show up better in pictures. Do you know what I mean? My makeup lady did that and I thought it was awesome!

@futureMrsLarsen: Setting spray – this was recommended to me by some bees before my wedding and I loved it and now use it when I know I’ll have a long day. It’s called Model in a Bottle.

@mypinkshoes: I agree about the foundation color.
OP, the foundation doesn’t look to light for you like you said you were shooting for your winter color, I think it has the wrong undertones. In those pictures your face looks too “pink” to me than your neck, which isn’t a winter pale versus summer tan issue. I would check to see if you picked up foundation with warm undertones instead of cool, or vice versa. Something is def off in the undertone though.
I think everything else looks amazing though! I love your eyes, and you went with a softer lip to balance it out. LOVE!

Thanks for the tips ladies! I went with a cool tone foundation, I think I will try the warm and neutral ones also.

I think it looks great! That’s cool that you learned to do that yourself just from watching tutorials. It looks like a professional did it! About how many hours did you spend practicing before you were satisfied with how it looked?

Your makeup is pretty, love the eyes but your face is a different shade from your neck.
Is this poor matching or camera flash/lighting?
