I was so excited I couldnt sleep! lol

Honestly, I am a size 10 and a lot of the sample dresses didnt fit me. It was VERY discouraging and the plus size dresses they bought me were huge and falling off me.

I am not trying to discourage you, but at 3 out of the 4 places I went, the sizes were a sample size 10, which is like an 8 or 6 in street size.

Dress shopping wasn’t the best experience, but I ended up finding a dress that fits me and my personality 😀

You will defintley be able to get into the dresses without a doubt. My problem was the zippin up lol

Most of the dresses I tried on were zip up dresses, not corsettes. I tried on one corsette dress and it fit. Maybe I should have tried on more corsette dresses lol

This is the dress I ended up with…

ETA: Honestly, I think one of the reasons why I loved this dress so much was because it fit lol

I was soooo excited.  And then I got very frustrated and made some bad decisions.  At the time of dress shopping, I was a street size 8 or 10 and there were many samples that wouldn’t zip all the way.  You should be able to get most of them on–they just clip the backs.  Maggie dresses fit very well.  Plus, most of them come with corset backs so they are much more adjustable.  Personally I’m not a fan of how corset backs look, but they sure do suck you in (in a good way)!

I was sooo nervous about fitting into dresses (because I’m an 18) but they all fit me well where I went. Sure some of them were a little tight, some were too loose, but the experience wasn’t ruined because of it. 🙂

I actually found my dress the first day (it was the second I tried on) but I kept looking just to make sure I wasn’t making a snap decision.

Have fun!

I was excited, but oddly calm. haha I thought I would have been freeeaaakkking out when I was in the dresses, but I was very calm and logical about my choices.. As for sizes I was so much more discouraged before I went about knowing that nothing was going to fit perfect, but was pleasantly surprised at my feelings during the fitting. Obviously the girls helping me have dealt with non sample size girls before so it wasn’t totally humiliating like I thought it was going to be 🙂 Have fun!!! Enjoy it!!

You should be able to try them all on…they just won’t zip. Also if your weight is on your bottom put the dresses over your head and if it’s more on yoru top then step into them.

I’m about a 16 and didn’t have a problem.  i gravitated towards maggie dresses with the corset back so that probably made the trip easier.  I was only unable to get into one dress that I had my Maid/Matron of Honor try on.  i ended up finding it ion the second trip n a larger size and yesterday ordered the dress!  my Maid/Matron of Honor wasn’t able to make the 2nd trip, so it was funny that she knew it from trying it on for me.  If you are comfortable with them being in the room with you, i recommend getting into the dress by diving in versus stepping in.  made it much easier & more comfortable.
