I’m preparing for my first appointments to try on wedding dresses this weekend and I’m SO excited.
I’ve been printing out pictures of dresses I like to take in with me. So far I have 5 favorites and 10 others I like. I have no idea what these dresses will look like on ME (rather than on the models) so I don’t even know if the styles I picked will look good.
How many dress photos did you take with you to your first appointment?

I took about 10 – the tough part is that some boutiques only carry some of the dresses, so each time, I only found about 2-3 dresses.
Also, I suggest that you also look at dresses that you don’t have pictures for. At the beginning when I was still trying to figure everything out, I should have just roamed the racks (most let you if you ask) so I can see what was out there in real life and not just in pictures.

@neontl: Thanks for the advice. I will definately “roam the racks” as well as take suggestions from the consultant. The first place I’m going doesn’t have appointments, so you roam the racks first while you wait for a consultant to become availalbe. I just want to make sure I’m prepared.

I brought zero. I went in not knowing what I wanted. I had a feeling I wanted something light and simple, but as I continued dress shopping I tried on many different styles until I found what I wanted.

I brought six or so. It helped the consultant know what I was looking for. But since it’s your first time out shopping, don’t forget to check out lots of different styles! I ended up with a style different from the one I originally imagined. 🙂
