I definitely like a fuller shape on you. I think dress 1 is really beautiful, but I would forgo the blingy sash. I don’t think your waistline needs it, and I actually think it detracts from the slim wait the ballgown actually gives you. As in, your waist looks smaller without the sash. I don’t think you are too mature for a fuller gown at all, especially since this dress has classic elements and isn’t a big tulle poof.

I voted for the A-line dress… I think it’s absolutely gorgeous and I don’t think it’ll be getting in the way and drive you nuts after the wedding. I’m getting married in July and will be 31 years old (for reference). I wouldn’t say that the ball gown style is too immature or princess-y but in my oppinion as fulffy as it is it would get annoying after a bit (to me). It would also depend on the venue and how crowded it will be on the wedding day too.  Smile

@shamrock1228:  Definitely not! The lace has some sparkle to it, and then on the wedding day itself, you will be sparkling! Hello beautiful makeup, jewelry, and/or bling in the hair/veil.

@shamrock1228:  I prefer dress #1.  I think it’s much more flattering, and I love the romantic flowy look of the skirt.  It doesn’t look too immature.  I’ll be 29 by the time my wedding date rolls around this November, and I’m wearing a similar shape (my skirt isn’t quite as full and seems a little less ballgown and a little more A-line even though it’s listed as a “ballgown” on the designer’s website).  I like the idea of a sash with that dress to give it more visual interest, but I might try on a few other types of sashes to figure out which is most flattering to your waistline.  The one you have on in the picture looks fine, but there may be something better out there.

@shamrock1228:  You have my permission to keep looking, haha!

Dress #1 is lovely and you may not be able to beat it.

No to 2 & 3.  3 is really quite awful on you. 2 looks nice but I’m not a fan of the dress itself, a little dated I think (its the emboirdered matte satin.)

Very, very tough call, it was pretty much a tie for me, but I like the first one slightly more.

@shamrock1228:  Yes, that makes perfect sense actually!  Smile  I’d be interested to see what the skirt looks like with less crinoline.  As it is, I don’t think it’s too full (it’s definitely much less so than many other ballgowns), but it might be worth it to at least see what it looks like with less crinoline.
