I went to try on my first round of alterations and the dress was 2 inches too big! I must have lost weight!
Here’s a picture of me in the dress:
You can see the pinning in the side area, and there was some pinning in the back also.
I don’t know what kind of jewelry to wear with this dress. My sister says a simple pendant, my other BMs want me to go for blingtastic. And is this shrug ok?
What do you bees think?

@Miss Moxy: You look FANTASTIC! That dress is perfection!! As far as jewelry, I’m a fan of “the bigger, the better”, especially with a sweetheart neckline! I like the shrug too!

I would go with a simple necklace. I think a statement necklace might take away from you and the dress.
I like the shrug! I think you look so pretty!!

Thank you ladies!
I’m still on the fence about jewelry.

@Miss Moxy: Gorgeous dress, you look stunning.
Shrug is okay, simple and basic, try some other ones, you never know, here’s some from Etsy.com

I love it! I like that shrug with it bc it is simple.

@Miss Moxy: awwwwwww, how cute are you!!!?? Pretty and adorable.
No necklace, but dangling sparkly earrings is what I’d do. You don’t have a lot of room on your chest and neck area and I don’t think there’s enough open skin to have to adorn it.
You”ll undoubtably have something on your head. That’s enough going on.

You looklook beauty beautiful!! I say simple since you have a nice belt.

I agree that I have a small area of skin showing (and will be less so when I am properly fitted). I think thats why my sister wanted me to wear a pendant cuz I am chesty. And Yes, I will be wearing a birdcage veil with lots of sparkles. I am rethinking wearing a necklace….thank you!
Its hard for me to shop on etsy just because I am plus size and it’ll cost alot to get something custom for me. It’s just not in my budget. Maybe I can add something to this shrug? Maybe some lace edges on the sleeve.

You look lovely! And hooray for having to take it in! I say no necklace and instead some fabulous earrings and a bracelet!

@Miss Moxy: You look beautiful! For jewelry – I’m in the camp that jewelry shouldn’t be the focus, it should be the accent. You don’t want to detract attention away from your face, and have everyone’s eyes going directly to a big statement necklace.
I’d go pendant drop sparkly necklace with sparkling earrings. But no matter what you decide, the hardest part (the dress!) looks AWESOME so you’re good to go. Congratulations!

I think the dress looks great on you! I personally would go simple with jewerly, but it is really up to your style! Also the shrug is very nice, my only suggestion would be to maybe go with something that ends above the elbows? The length now seems like a lot to me.
You look gorgeous!
