Had my first dress fitting today for my Casablanca 2037! It was actually a little bit disappointing, not becuase of my dress, but because the bridal salon was busy trying to finish altering a dress for a wedding this weekend (!) and I felt really rushed. I didn’t get to try on jewelry, veils, or take all the pictures I want. But I did get to put on my dress, after not seeing it for close to 8 months, and I still really love it! They also had a sash that they suggested I try, and now I’m doubting my original decision that I wanted to go sashless. What do you all think? Sash or no sash? And either way, any suggestions on jewelry or veil length?
(Ignore the weird way the side looks in this photo, she had it bustled strange and fixed it after)

(And I forgot to mention, for anyone interested in the Casablanca 2037, I have the neckline altered to a little deeper neckline than normal. It’s really a pretty subtle difference I think, but I guess I’m still glad I did it)

If you go with sash I would suggest blingy earrings and bracelet.
If you didn’t do sash I would suggest an elegant simple necklace, earrings, and bracelet.
As far as veil I think you can pull off any length w. your dress. Depends on your taste and the type of ceremony your having. I think simple finger tip or cathedral would look nice.

Usually I really like sashes, but I kind of like it better without- you can see the lines better and I think it flows better without personally. But I don’t think it looks bad with it.

That dress looks amazing on you. I would wear the sash.

Gorgeous! I’d totally wear it with the sash!

It may be the angle you’ve taken the photo – but I think the sash actually thickens your waist. Normally I’m a big sash fan, but its a beautiful beautiful dress. As I said – it may be the angle. More photos next time you have a fitting!!

I love it both ways but I really like that sash. I voted that you get the sash. I’d wear sparkly earrings if you got the sash for sure! And I think you can do any type of veil. I’m not sure what I’d go for.

You look stunning in your dress! I love the sparkly sash, so I voted yes! 🙂
I agree with PPs, blingy drop earrings would look great! If you opt not to wear the sash, then I think you should go with a sparkly or big statement necklace. I always like the cathedral length veils with a little bit of sparkle or detail on other brides, but opted for no veil myself.
Maybe something like this?

Hi dress twin! You look amazing!! I voted no sash, because I am not big on sashes, but really it is such a personal choice – you will look gorgeous either way.
What did you decide to do to poof the dress out more? I just bought a mermaid slip but I’m not sure if it’s too much poof… I just can’t decide! My fitting is Aug. 25 so I need to figure it out before then.

Honestly, your dress seems much more unique without the sash (IMO). But it really looks beautiful either way. However, if your first instinct was to go sashless, maybe you should stick with it.

Yes, sash- but move it to your empire waist line instead of your natural waist.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I’m still really torn- I think I’ll wait to decide for sure until my next fitting in two weeks. I love the sparkle but do think the sash takes away from the uniqueness of the dress a little bit.
This is exactly myconcern stillI don’t know why but i feel a little but like the sash hides my waist!
