I have my first fitting tomorrow…super nervous! It’s been 8 months since I last tried the dress on…what if I made the wrong choice? what if i fall prey to dress remorse? what if the staff isn’t nice to me? what if it’s way too big and they can’t alter it properly (i’ve lost some weight since i ordered and they convinced me to order it in a bigger size at the time). anybody else having a fitting tomorrow? anybody have a good post-fitting war story?

I haven’t had fittings yet so I can’t tell comforting stories, but I’m sure you’ll be fine! I don’t go for my measurements until December and I’m already looking forward to it. Don’t you miss your dress? It’ll be so fun to have it on again–think of those butterflies that made you buy it 🙂 I don’t know much about alterations and whether the size will be a problem but I’ve heard some pretty amazing stories about seamstresses working magic, so hopefully you’ll be fine.
Sorry, that was probably not very helpful, but I’ll be pulling for you! Let us know how it goes!

If it’s too big, they should be able to alter it fine, don’t worry! Also, once you put it on, you’ll probably fall in love with it all over again.
Just don’t look at any other dresses or you may be tempted!
Good luck! HAVE FUN!!!

I am in your boat…my fitting won’t be for months, and I’m afraid I’ll a) change sizes too much, b) fall out of love with my dress, or c)it won’t look good altered. Take heart, you’re not alone!

aw thanks guys!
@bunnybride: that’s totally how i felt…right up until tonight. now the butterflies have turned on me. too much say yes to the dress perhaps.
@mrsv: haha, i’ll shield my eyes as i walk through.
@misssequoia: those are precisely my fears! good to know there’s a sisterhood of insecurity out there.
thanks for the morale boost!
