The dress is really lovely, and it complements your figure beautifully. I think the color is gorgeous. I hope it grows on you, because it’s a beautiful gown!

I am not just saying this, but your dress looks gorgeous on you. It suits you so well. If I didn’t think so I wouldn’t leave a comment. I hope you end up happy with your dress no matter what though, whether it’s this one or another. Best of luck to you!!

I think it’s beautiful! The lace definitely pops with the darker underlay. You look lovely, but I’d say follow your gut! If you don’t love it, see about changing it.

I had the similar situation when buying my gown. It came in another color, champagne, that I probably would have liked but I couldn’t risk ordering the gown sight-unseen in a different color only to be surprised when the actual dress came in. I slept on it for a day and just decided to order the dress in the sample color.

For future reference, the salon should show you color swatches from that specific dress designer you’d like to order from to see if youd actually like the different color. 😀.

Good luck!!

How much time do you have? I would go try on some a-lines, figure out what really suits you, and go with that.

If you can’t get the dress sold before you buy a new one, have you at all considered a replica dress maker? I know that’s a really ridiculous scary though to most, but there are 2-3 Chinese replica makers who actually do really nice work (much more bang for your buck), if you are tight on budget and have some time. There’s a bunch of posts of here with examples of ladies’ replica dresses.

Buy beyond that there are plenty of beautiful dresses out there I am sure you can get in time!

elly50: I know this is not helpful at all because you’re asking for suggestions on how to fix the issue but for what it’s worth, I love it on you. I think you look great!! All I can suggest is what PP has already said…ask the store if you can exchange it before any alterations are done. Good luck bee!! xx
