Oh, bees… I’ve been struggling with on and off dress regret. I lost 25 lbs since buying the dress and haven’t tried it on in a while, but the last time I tried it on, it was too big and looked like it needed to be taken in about 2 sizes.
It’s been hard, because just when I was starting to like the dress, it started fitting really poorly because I was losing the weight, so I’ve sort of lost the vision of what it’s supposed to actually look like on me.
Anyway, I wasn’t expecting to have my first fitting for maybe another 2-3 weeks, but my seamstress insisted I make an “emergency” appointment for tomorrow, because according to her, I’m cutting it close. I’ve always heard 6-8 weeks for the first fitting was appropriate, but apparently, this seamstress and her employees are going on vacation for three weeks, so they needed me to come in right away.
EEEKS! I don’t know if I’m ready to see me in the dress!!! I have the crinoline, the veil, the shoes and I have a black strapless bra I can use as a placeholder until we determine what we’re doing about the bra (there’s a built-in corset). I’m just really nervous! I wasn’t prepared for this at all!!!
Anyone else feel this way before their first fitting? How did it turn out?
