to be honest it looks a little “prom” to me.  I think it would look better softened up.

I love your hair, but I agree with you about the curls. They kinda cut off your neck in a weird place? What about the same top and sides but a messy bun?

@GroovyHippieChick:  I was thinking the same thing.  I agree with OP that I like the top and the sides… but the curls remind me of prom.  Maybe if they did the same style but left more hair down, and looser waves?  OP – did you have an inspiration photo?

I agree with MichiganBride it does look “prom.” Do you have an inspiration picture of what you were going for?

Love the top/front/side view. Maybe have the hanging curls pinned up into the hairdo? Something just doesnt look right with them hanging down.

Do you have any direct face-on pictures?  I just wonder how the twists look.

Also agree it’s too structured, both in the curls in the back and the twists.  It’s still pretty, but I don’t know if this is the look you’re going for?

Maybe something more like this:

@futuremrsbrittain:  Okay I can definitely see it from your inspiration photos!  I think the thing that is catching me is that the one picture with the top twists also has side-swept bangs and like two tists, not the 5 very separate twists yours does.  Do you have bangs or would consider them?

Also the curls in the back of the pictures look like they’re pinned back in whereas yours are dangling down.  If you’re happy with the look, then by all means, rock it!  But if not, there’s some simple fixes that could change the look without ruining the integrity of the style.

you have a beautiful face!  I think softening it up will look gorgeous!
