I’m debating on whether I want to wear the veil in any pictures, let alone during the first look. Right after the first look we are doing all the bridal party pictures… thinking about not wearing the veil then either.

I would definately wear my veil.

I didn’t wear a veil at all so my vote would be wear it as little as possible, lol but that’s just me!

I have two thoughts:
1. it seems strange to have a first look without a veil? Are you walking down the isle with the veil and having your Father or Fiance flip it over? then definately WITH
2. Are you pictures going to be outside? then WITHOUT I have seen some strangely hilarious / terrible wind + veil pictures lately and would hate for you to be one of them.

I have been thinking about the same thing! I guess it depends where you will be doing your first look (outside or inside) and the length of the veil. For me, I’ll be wearing a cathedral veil so I’m not sure if I want my Fiance to see the entire look during our first look. I still want to “wow” him when he sees me walking down the aisle.

Let me clarify. My veil is elbow length and I’d rather not wear it at all, but playing along with the “bridal” game and slapping it on. It will not go over my face, only one tier. Our pictures will be inside for the first look, but other bridal party pictures outside. I agree about still wanting to wow him… and he better tear up!

My first look and all my bridal party photos will be outside, walking around, and my veil is chapel length — far too long to be carrying around. I’m going to have it put on in the church, just before I walk down the aisle!

I’d suggest wearing it for the first look photos. I did, and I’m so glad! They look very ‘bridal’ and sweet….and I forgot to put it back on for the ceremony! So there are truly only 5 or 6 photos of me with the veil on. I took it off for all the BP/outdoor photos, and that was that. If you don’t like to wear one at all, this may be a great way out for you 😉
