I’m planning on doing a first look, but not wearing my veil. We’ll be doing pictures before and after, so I will still get some with the veil.

For me, I don’t care thaaaaat much about seeing him before the ceremony/his reaction but I think it would be nice to surprise him a little. My veil is fairly dramatic so I think it will be nice to have some pics with and without it, and to look a little different going down the aisle.

My ceremony is on a summer afternoon, though, so it won’t be dark afterwards.

I did a first look and wasn’t sure what I should do either.  I ended up wearing my veil for the first look because I wanted him to get the full effect the first time he saw me, and I’m sooo glad I did.  It was an amazing moment and to be honest, it was really nice to have that moment with just us and some close friends and fam.  I did most of my pics with my veil too… I was undecided but it really made me feel like a bride and my pics are awesome.  When else are you going to get to wear a veil again?

The veil is part of your full wedding day outfit but you don’t want to give everything away just for these photos. I think veil on without the blusher down is the best of both worlds.
