My DH and I finally decided to start trying when we went on vacation after xmas and have been BDing our entire way into and through the new year… I’m on day 17 of this cycle and cant figure out which DPO. I’m pretty sure im in my first TWW at this point but all I can do is drive myself nuts with symptom spotting. I know chances are it may not happen so soon and I should really chill out but instead I’ve been going through OPK’s and if I dont find a way to distract myself I might start going through pregnancy tests too.
please help! what do you do to keep yourself busy and sane?

Welcome to TTC and the dreaded TWW. The best you can do is to keep yourself busy, but I had the hardest time thinking about anything but being pregnant during my first few TWWs. The best you can do is to try to give yourself things to do that don’t have anything to do with babies or pregnancy, and when that fails just make a few secret baby and pregnancy boards on pinterest and pin away! Good luck and hopefully you don’t have to be on this rolloercoaster too long.

Did you get a positive OPK?
I read a bunch of threads in WB, which I find both informational and distracting 🙂 I also like to read, do some crafts, watch movies, clean the house, cook, plan trips, excercise etc. That keeps me pretty distracted. It helps that I have a lot of work at school, so I don’t obsess over TTC more than I already do. Definitely find some hobby/project to do to keep your mind busy. I am also in the TWW!

Thank you for all the tips! I’m only on CD 18 and already caved and tested… like I expected BFN… but hopefully that’s just because it’s too early. In the meantime since work is slow I’ve been planning my coworkers Maternity leave sendoff. LOL not exactly steering away from babies but they’re all over the place!

whoops missed tagging you above.
I got a couple of pos OPK’s but then neg. thinking we missed the mark this month.
I swear, when I didn’t want to get preggo it seemed impossible and now that I am actually trying it’s easier to stay unpregnant!

I’m in xactly the same boat, me and my new hubby started TTC this month, although unlikely to fall pregnant in the first month I can’t stop thinking about it either! Every time you feel a twinge or ache or feel sick you think ‘maybe’ – I have a few POAS but am trying hard not to get them out and test! I’m CD22 and at least anout 10 days until i can test (usual cycle is 31days)

I’m becoming a monster! Haha. Last night was our first literal time TTC and I’m already a crazy person hoping something happened. UGHHHH. I’ve been watching Knocked Up and listened to the Juno soundtrack all day. What is wrong with me?
