For me, it hurt a bit and bled a bit.  Go slowly, make sure that he stops when you say stop and take your time.  Honestly, you might not be up for it the night of the wedding and that’s okay.  You have the rest of your lives to explore and learn each other.

I didn’t bleed the first time we had sex but it was painful. Some women do, some don’t. Just be patient with one another. I’m going to be honest with you, the first time isn’t the most graceful or romantic. But as long as you take your time and relax you will be fine! πŸ™‚

It hurts a bit. Some women bleed; some don’t. I didn’t my first time. Gabrielle123: is right; the first time is DEFINITELY not the best time!!  So don’t worry: it gets better. πŸ™‚

And as you get more comfortable with it, don’t be afraid to tell your husband what you like, what you want him to do, and what you don’t like as much. And ask him the same things. Neither of you are mind readers, and every body is different.

I didn’t bleed, and it didn’t hurt. I was 16. I would say it’s different for every single woman. As stated, make sure to take your time and be lubed before he tries! Either naturally or with KY. Definitely will help. Don’t stress πŸ˜‰

Yes, it hurt a lot in my case, but it gets better over time. It’s nothing to be afraid of, you just have to be slow and patient at first. It is a very good idea to have some extra help with KY on hand, even if you don’t think you’ll need it.

Why are you “shouting” in your post?

ETA: Just saw that you turned off all caps. Thank you.

It depends on the person. I rode horses for many years so my hymen was pre-broken. While I was sore after, I don’t recall it hurting at all.

Very painful, not romantic at all. Blood and discomfort.

That was the first time and the first partner. Very different now!

it hurt, and I bled, everywhere. Disgusting uncomfortable and painful. So not my idea of a romantic evening. So totally gald I’m not a virgin on my wedding night.

Two pieces of advice: LOTS of foreplay and LOTS of lube. It will help a lot. Some people bled, some don’t. Just don’t put pressure on yourself and know it will only get better after the first time.

We waited till our wedding night and yeah it was uncomfortable and yeah I bled a lot, but it was temporary — by the 3rd time, I was good to go!  Plus, Darling Husband was very understanding and gentle.  I’m very glad we waited…. absolutely NO regrets… or babies… or Save-The-Date Cards. πŸ™‚
