veganeh :  About six days later than I would have had it if I had continued on the pill 🙂

veganeh :  I was on BC for 10 years, I got my first period off of the pill exactly 28 days after and it was great, super light, only lasted a couple of days. Then I got my second one 28 days after that and it was about the same but lasted 3-4 days, but still quite light. Then 25 days later I got the period from hell. Probably on of the heaviest I have ever gotten and it lasted 7 days. My guess is it is now fully out of my system? I am not sure, but hopefully things stay steady for you! Make sure you are keeping track of it in case you need to see your doctor, I have been using the Flo app just incase and for timing O.

My first was exactly 4 weeks but very heavy.  Second was 5 weeks and also very heavy.  Currently waiting on the 3rd (due today).  I never had regular periods before BC and on the pill my periods were very light to nonexistant.  Heavy periods and cramping has been a big adjustment for me!

This is my third month off the pill. The first month, my period came in 30 days.  I had terrible cramps and bloating most of the month. Month two, my period came in 37 days but I had zero cramps. My period was also unusual as it was three days of spotting, followed by three days of flow, then three more days of spotting.  I’m anxious to see what this month will be, I’m only on CD 14 currently.

I hear it can take several months for your body to return back to pre-pill functioning. Hopefully your period returns soon!

I went on BC at 18 for acne reasons. It didn’t really work for me, so about a year later I stopped taking it. It took me 6 whole months to get my period again, and the first one was TERRIBLE. Huge clots and very heavy flow. I was changing extra long pads every 1-2 hours for the first few days. The entire period lasted over a week. I’m on birth control again now (the past 6ish years) and I’m really nervous about what will happen when I stop 😬

My period was actually early. Came at 25 days instead of 28. Which is odd since my cycle before being on the pill was 30 days. 4 months later, I am still stuck with a 25 days  cycle. They have been heavy but that is how they were before BC.
