there are a few good you-tube videos on flower bouquet arranging and certainly someone must have a good DIY blog out there if you spend a bit of time on google. I know the first thing you have to do is to find your flowers, Michaels, Joannes, Hobby Lobby, most of these places will regularly have coupons avalible for you to use if you can save them up, It looks like your vow renewal isn’t until july so you still have some time to start, The other things you will need are some floral tape and wire if your stems are not sturdy enough and a pretty ribbon for the outside to cover the stems.

Check your library- you should be able to find books with step by step instructions/photos, and references photos- I got a lot of great ideas from mine.

in terms of holding the stems together you could either cut the stems very short and stick floral wire through them  and turn the floral wire into the stems, this is really helpful if you have a lot of flowers to keep the size of the bottom smaller and easier to hold.

or there’s the method where you take about 3 to 5 flowers and bundle them together with a rubberband or floral wire and this will be your anchor for the bouquet. it will be the center. and slowly build around that and wrap a rubberband around that and keep doing that over and over until you have your bouquet just how you want it. then wrap it with your ribbon.

what i did was i just put all of the flowers together and then held up and pulled flowers out and stick them else where until i had it just how i wanted and wrapped all the stems with floral wire as tight as possible then wrapped it in floral tape and then wrapped it in ribbon. the way i did it is probably the more difficult way to do it but it got done so oh well

When I was making a sock flower bouquet for my mom, I used floral tape to bind all the stems together so that I didn’t have to worry about it all coming apart when I went to add the ribbon.  It worked really well!

Stem tape! You can find it at any craft store (Hobby Lobby, Joann’s, Michael’s, etc.), and it’s very inexpensive – about a dollar a roll. One hint though – stem tape only sticks to itself (which is one of it’s many wonderful assets), but you kind of have to stretch it a little bit for maximum stickage. Wrap pretty tightly and it’ll work great! Good luck!
