I was so excited when I saw our first items being “fulfilled” on our registry..I actually cried.  Haha..is that pathetic?

@Beckster329:  Ah see, we aren’t really doing a shower? It’s the weekend before, because FI’s family was suppose to do it. And they dropped the ball. Also I have a “surprise” one at work.. that I already know about..

@gogogiraffes:  Ahh don’t worry, I usually wait until closer to the wedding to send a gift (although after planning a wedding, I think I’ll send the gifts a lot earlier)

@Beckster329:  I know what you mean..I didn’t expect anyone to even purchase something from our registry so early. Or something that was the most expensive..it’s a pink kitchen aid stand mixer and all the attachment things you can get.  I was so shocked something bought all of it…and I felt really loved.  =)

We have had one thing purchased already – the wedding is in October and my shower isn’t even until August so I have no idea who is shopping so early!  And of all the things on the registry, it’s a mat for rolling out pastry dough!

Okay I lied, 5 things have been purchased, by Fiance or I. I got my refillable keurig cup for my birthday from him. And my shelves were on sale…

@gogogiraffes:  Did you buy stuff off your own registry too? DID YOU?!

(Not that there’s anything wrong with that.)

I went onto my BB&B registry yesterday to add something we’d forgotten (electric knife, DUH) and saw someone had bought something already! 6 months out? When I saw what I was I got a good guess that it’s either my mom or my sister – we were out a week or two ago and I told them how excited I was to register for this one particular thing. I may have jumped up and down a little. Anyway, someone got it and I feel very loved and content.

Yay!! I love seeing things being fulfilled on the registry! We’ve got another shower in two weeks. Not a lot has come off between our last shower and this one, but I also think FI’s family shops at the last minute. We have received a few wedding gifts already, from some people who are ahead of the game (and also because one of our friends thought BB&B would send the gift closer to our wedding, not right away. Whoops!).

@Amber.Dawn:  And no, that is not pathetic for being that excited! You don’t sound greedy. I was really, really excited too. My feelings were that it was because these were items that Fiance and I would be using to set up our home.

@sweetcrackers:  YES! Don’t judge me! I also figured that maybe people would worry stuff would be gone.

Also, anyone know that Etsy has a registry?! I would have gone crazy had I known that.
