I came off the BCP about a month ago, I have no idea if I have ovulated and I haven’t had a period yet (only withdrawal bleed over Christmas)
I took a First Response pregnancy test, and it has ONE very clear pink line (not pregnant) but seeing as I spend way to much time on this board, I had a really close look and in the light, I can see a line (not pink) but a shiny line the same colour as the background (white – but only shiny).
My first thought was, this is where the ‘pregnant’ line would be if I was pregnant….because its so hard to see.
But then I pulled out of the trash 2 old tests (same tests – one from yesterday and one from 2 days ago) and I cant see that shiny line. I would of posted a pic but you cant see, only really close and in the light.
I have a feeling you might be able to see it through the ‘inverted’ filter but I have no idea how to do that lol. I hope this makes sense! –
Can anyone help? If its ‘not pregnant’ NOTHING should be next to it right? Its not really close right next to it – its literally where the other line would be it the test were positive.

Tests that are an hour or older aren’t good anymore. Eventually you will see an evaporated line which is the shiny line you see.. retest and don’t look at the old tests! Fx for you!!

With every single First Response test I have taken, I can see a second line if I look long and hard enough. I’ve driven myself crazy with pregnancy tests over the last several months. I can even post pictures of them on here, and there are always people who confirm that they can see them, too.
Make it a rule for yourself to never go back and look at a test after you’ve thrown it away…it will make you crazy. If you don’t manage to get pregnant this cycle, go to Amazon and buy a bunch of cheap Wondfo pregnancy tests, and you can test as often as you want without breaking the bank. But after that 5-minute mark, if you don’t see a second line, throw the thing away, and try again the next day.

It might be an indent line. I had some bad indent lines on first response tests. They are colorless and right where a second line would be.

Thanks for your responses! The ‘line’ was on the new test and I saw it within a few minutes. I only looked back at the old ones to compare (sorry I dont know if I made that clear)
It is proably just an indent line or something like that. I told myself when i start TTC i wouldnt become crazy about it…Ah too late!
