Hi bees, I’ve got my first scan this morning at 8weeks. It’s a dating and viability scan as ordered by my OB. I’m so nervous, and a tiny bit excited but I don’t want to let myself get excited until we have some confirmation that the little bean is definitely in there. I’ve had terrible anxiety since we found out I’m pregnant, especially around miscarriage. My husband is so confident that all is well, so I’m just leaning on him and trying very hard to feel his positivity! It’s currently 5:30am Thursday morning here in NZ, I’ve been awake since before 5 and my scan is at 10:30am. Please cross your fingers and send sticky baby wishes my way!

@Wellington Bride: I completely understand! I went through the same thing last week- 1st ultrasound this pregnancy after a miscarriage in August. It is nervewracking and it is so hard not to be anxious. I will cross my fingers that this one is a sticky baby for you!

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I’ve just done a whirlwind cleaning attack on the house…. my husband said “are you doing your nervous cleaning again?” and gave me a big hug. Ugh, just want to get this done already!

Thank you all so much for your good wishes and kind words and reassurance! I also really appreciate those who said they remembered how scary it was for them and acknowledged my (most probably) irrational terror!!
