When he said yeah, I responded with an enthusiastic “let’s celebrate!” while heading to my bedroom. Embarassed

Do you remember in The Office where Jim does a few fake proposals by getting down on one knee to tie his shoe and stuff?

Well the goober had called me this morning to ask what I wanted to eat if he were to ‘hypothetically’ propose during a picnic on the apartment balcony. We were sitting down, he went inside and got the ring and flowers and then tried to pretend like he wasn’t really proposing like Jim. I *might* have told him to shut up and give me the ring.

To be fair, I was really excited and he was trying to screw with me!

To be honest, mine was such a shock I can’t remember if it was “ugghhh” or “oh my god”. He got down on one knee before saying anything, I instantly went into this fuzzy blur. We’ve been together for quite awhile, but it was still surreal.

I still can’t even remember what HE said, but he was shaking like leaf & scared as hell, at one point I know he started rambling… but it was so cute and him. We’ve tried to recount what was exactly said between us several times now to no avail Smile

My first words were something like “Aww, your shaking” followed closely by “Yes, of course. What else would I say!!”

FYI, I was 7 months pregnant at the time.

My first thing was (I think) was a very mumbled and shakey “Yes” LOL I was trying not to burst out crying and just up and down. Too overwhelmed and shocked that I was completely inco-hearant and speechless! ๐Ÿ˜€

“Is this real?!” I meant the moment not the ring, I knew that was real!  Haha.  Then I stopped breathing for awhile and jumped up and down (luckily I didn’t fall down the waterfall we were on top of).

lots of crying. Good crying of course. He then said “uhhhh… you know I can’t give this too you unless you answer.” Then I said “Yes, This means yes” pointing to my face all full of tears.

I started crying and hugged him for what seemed like forever. I took the ring before he could even put in on me lol. Apparently I never responded because he said something like “so…is that a yes?” lol.

I said, “But you’re driving!” in a really high pitched and whiny voice.

Backstory: Fiance had planned a sweet proposal at the end of a weekend out of town.  Unfortunately the location of this planned proposal was closed due to an unexpected death in the owner’s family.  Fiance had given up the plan to propose that weekend and was just going to do it at a later date until I told him how great the weekend had been.  He said, there was one more thing and pulled out the ring while driving down the road.  It took a few minutes and repititions of “but you’re driving” before I said “Yes”
