I think it looks dated…like 80s. BUT if you like it…wear it with pride.

plantprop :  I think onyx, black and white, unusual, nice but not for me.

The sapphires are pretty dark and it wouldn’t be my taste (I wouldn’t buy it or pick it out but I wouldn’t turn it down if it was offered to me).

It looks like it could be a nice RHR for the middle finger- it’s bold and striking- not very pretty but with the right outfit, manicure and attitude on the right day . . .

The sapphires look more like garnets to me unless it is the photo. Also, the stones look tilted. Can you attach a photo of the ring not on your finger, but on a flat surface?

First thought is its a black diamond, not blue sapphire.  Second thought is its dated.

I think it’s simple and pretty, and I would happily wear it as a right hand ring. I’m not sure I would want it as my wedding band/every day ring, but it would also depend on my associations with it. If it belonged to a person I loved and was passed down that way, then seeing it every day might be a lovely reminder of them. Are you debating whether to use it as a wedding band, or do you currently use it?

For the record, I have a sapphire eternity band I wear on my right hand that the sapphires come up black in photos.

My gut reaction when I see this ring is “heirloom”. Personally, I don’t feel it’s “dated” because that is how heirloom rings are SUPPOSED to look. If you love it, rock it ๐Ÿ™‚

retro/antique… 1980s yes, but w/ some older style influence, IMO.

It’d be cool on its own(sole wedding band or RHR) but not stacked.

Vintage. Maybe a cool RHR. I thought those were black diamonds too – the sapphires look dark, but could be the lighting and sapphires can vary colour-wise.
