Honestly, to me, it looks like the pills you have don’t match the case they gave you.  You don’t really need the case though.  Just start with the pill under the arrow and go clockwise.  The pills in the inner circle are the “sugar” pills – they just remind you to keep taking your pill during your period week.

You’re not stupid for asking at all!  Smile  Someone at either Planned Parenthood or CVS should have explained it to you!

Not a stupid question.  My pills aren’t in a circle – they are 4 rows of 7 pills, so my case is much less complicated (its just a little plastic envelope – almost like a business card case)

It looks like the case they gave you is for pill packs with 28 pills in a circle.  Your pill pack has 7 pills in the inner circle (probably placebo pills) and 21 pills in the outer circle.  I think the case isn’t the right one for your pills.

I’ve always received the case with the pills, so I have no idea where to buy a case.

She gave you the wrong case, my pills look the exact same as yours and I have a compact like case with holes in the back to pop out each pill.  Looks like you’re on Ortho Cyclen, I’m on Otho Tri-Cyclen (same pill package).  Image of mine is attached.

You were given the wrong case. The case you were given carries 28 pills around the circle while your pill pack carries 21 on the outer circle and 7 on the inner circle. Honestly, if you are diligent with your pills, you don’t need the case. The case is just an easy and convenient way to carry it in with a cute little reminder (so that you don’t forget or double-up). I would call PP in a couple of weeks to see if they have cases that come in over the next few weeks but not having the case shouldn’t hinder you from starting the pack.

you may also want to check your local drug store or pharmacy and see if they can provide one.

Hmmm… I’m not too sure if that’s the correct case, although, I’ve never seen a proper bc pill before.

I don’t use a case… I just keep the pill pack in a little book in my bag (that’s about the size of my pill pack), which also has an elastic band to keep the book closed.  Looks inconspicuous, which is what I want.

Oh yeah, you definitely need a different case.  I’ve used both kinds before, the case that was given to you was for a round pack.

My 7 in the middle are placebo pills but they all pop out of the back.  I get my Rx filled at Walgreens and the pack just came with my first Rx.

Haha, I don’t care if a case is cute or not, I don’t think BC pills are a fashion statement.Wink  Besides I could just add stickers to the top if I wanted too, lol.

@ddw:  I use the The Pentalic “A La Modeskin Traveler’s Pocket Sketch book” (in light blue).  It’s 4″x3″, and I actually use it to write notes in as well.  It’s a handy little thing!

Though I should add that my bc pack is rectangular, so it fits perfectly.

It’s funny, it does seem so 1950s to have a bc container… I totally agree with you! 🙂

I really don’t see the need for a case.  You normally get them with each refill, and it is just a big waste of plastic you will eventually throw out.  I usually just left them in my bathroom in my toothbrush drawer, but I didn’t care if someone saw my BC, esp. after I was married.  (Also was a virgin until I was married but was on BC for years beforehand.)

You definitely need a different case, if you want to use one. If you don’t just make sure you have a way to mark the day you are starting if you’re not doing a “Sunday start” (I did a “day 1” start, meaning the first day of my period I started BC, so I start my new pack on a Tuesday). The pill packs should come with little stickers or something so you can change the start day if you need to, sometimes the pill cases adjust instead of having stickers, which is why I mentioned it.
