Looking for opinions from Bees who are well acquainted with botox –
I planned all along on some botox just for my “elevens” (frown lines btwn brows) for the wedding. What I forgot to do was get at least one treatment far in advance as a trial to see how I liked it and if it needed tweaking. I’m too close to the wedding date now for a trial run. I still want to do it though. Wedding is April 26, when should I get the botox?
I do have a trusted doctor to go to, he’s worked on my mom for years and just did an upper eyelid lift w/some frownline botox on my sibling right before the holidays.

@yehyehgirl: I know next to nothing about botox except that if you’re allergic it can be pretty nasty. I would talk to the doctor and see what he says. Perhaps there’s a dicreet place he can test for an allergy first?

@yehyehgirl: I would suggest the beginning of March.
I’m not well acquainted though. I had it only once on my forehead years ago.

@yehyehgirl: I inquired about this recently with my doctor (but more because I sweat from my head than wrinkle lines). My skin is very sensitive, and he mentioned that there was almost no risk associated with Botox. He stated that Botox lasts about 3 months. You have time for a trial if you can get it done early next week. If not, I would may do it at the beginning of or mid March so that it has some time to repair if you have a reaction, but still within the time for it to have an effect.

Yep beginning of march, 2 weeks after Botox what your resultra are, are what your results are. ( I saw full effect after 4 days but everyone is different). March will give you time to do any touch ups after that 2 weeks to make sure you have the exact result you want and will give you time to get use to it.

@yehyehgirl: I had a consultation for this yesterday. They said that it will get to its peak effectiveness after a month so I have made my appointment for the beginning of March. My wedding is 5 April
