@Missprincessmegs:  your body looks sick in all the photos, so don’t feel so down! Now, if you want to get back into the gym, work out, etc., then go for it! I am a huge proponent of striving for a healthier lifestyle, no matter what. If losing some weight will make you feel better, then do it. You have plenty of time before your wedding to feel more comfortable.

Btw – you can totally rock a pricess dress like nobody’s business!

I don’t think you look huge, but if you feel that way, perhaps you should look at other styles? As a plus size gal I can tell you that the right style will make you feel slim and gorgeous, not like a beached whale. The first dress I tried on was AWFUL. I felt like a linebacker, not a bride. The next two were…passable. Then we hit on what looked good on me and every dress was breathtaking.

You might have a style in mind, but if you’re flexible, you’ll find something that flatters you and makes you happy.

I agree that you are gorgeous! One thing that I noticed when I first went dress shopping is that the sillohette that I thought would look good on me was not what I ended up with. The same for my sister who is small framed. Maybe try on some dresses that you didn’t even think you’d like. Try on different shapes and fabrics.

I still think that you are gorgeous, but YOU are the one who needs to feel that way.

@Missprincessmegs:  Hi there!  MFP is MyFitnessPal, an online tool to count your calories.  You can also add the app to your phone and use the nice scanning feature to scan labels on foods/beverages.  I love encouraging others on MFP and vice versa.  Here is the link: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/

First of all, you look amazing in all three! I loooove #2 on you. Stunning. (As an Enzoani bride, though, I’m a little biased!)

I felt completely the same way when I went dress shopping. I was at my peak weight, which felt like it came out of nowhere (seriously, 30 or 40 pounds came on over 3 years, and then BAM, probably 20 more just this summer). I had also just passed the 200 mark (although I didn’t realize it at the time). I did still find a dress that I felt amazing in, and ordered it (in a size that kind of horrified me), but the whole dress trying process was kind of a wake-up call for me, I guess. It’s been 3 1/2 months since I ordered and I’m 25 lbs down! Like someone else suggested, I’ve been using MyFitnessPal to track, and it’s been amazing.

Seriously, though, you look absolutely beautiful as you are right now. You are NOT huge! But I do understand the feeling!

I had the same experience when I tried on VERY similar dresses. Although I LOVE that style, on me I felt it emphasized my curves and it made me self-conscious. Dress shopping was not easy or always fun for me. If you feel self-conscious I suggest going for something with a higher waist– fixed it for me! But you look great, and feeling great is #1 on your big day!

First of all, I don’t think you look 200lbs at all! I think the cut of the last dress is soooo flattering on you! Not a fan of the the cut of the top, though. I think the subtle sweetheart on the first dress with the A-line cut of the third dress would look perfect on you!

You are not huge at all. However, the dropped waist ball-gown and A-line doesn’t really look like the bext style on you since it flairs from you hip, the widest part of your body. You should look for dresses that have a natural waist or princess seams.

Honestly, trying on wedding dresses is a huge blow to the confidence. I’m not big, but I’m definitely not athletic. Trying on wedding dresses amplifies insecurities so that even if you know you look pretty you still struggle a little bit. I knew my dress was the one cause the longer I was in it, the quieter those little voices got. Though I didn’t feel perfect, I felt like me.  Kinda strange to say, but I felt comfortable. (Btw, I do have a model friend who didn’t like trying on wedding dresses either cause she felt the white made her look fat 😉 )

For your dresses, I love #2 and #3. #3 You are absolutely regal. That picture takes my breath away, you look like a russian queen.

I like #2 better though because you seem more comfortable. It compliments you in a simpler way. You seem like the best of the woman you are.

No 2 is the best. It’s extremely flattering, especially in the waistline area.

@Missprincessmegs:  I like the shape of the Allure – I think that suits you far better than the others.  The top of the Enzoani dress looks fantastic on you!

First of all, you are beautiful. Secondly, I can relate to you. My dress shopping experience was not fun and I also felt unhappy with my body. I think that you just need to find a style that makes you feel comfortable and that accentuates the parts that you like most about your body. I think that a different style would work better for your body type but all in all it is what YOU want and what makes YOU feel beautiful.
