Well I have seen quite alot of very similar dresses from wedding dress designers or as prom dresses. So i am sure if you search for just black and white dresses there will be something in actually store you can try on.

I like the dress though I has some of your style but not too over the top which could easily happen with a ‘Gothic ‘ theme. Depending on your taste maybe vintage dresses they normally have sleeves with all the accessories could fit the theme in a sort of ghostly traditional way.

I was just on their website love! I believe it takes them a few hours to reply back due to different time zones. I know you may not want to do it, but have you considered going through a shop from China? There are many reputable shops, but you have to look for them. How about Etsy? It’s guaranteed that they’ll have someone or various shops that could help you out. I’ll link some of the shops in a post πŸ™‚

jjh161:  I’d stay away from any online store that looks like it’s makkng dresses in China.

You may be able to get what you want from a mainstream dedigner – how about these dresses from Allure?

Neither of them have skeeves, obvs, but you could create that effect via a bolero, e.g. these black ones from Tulip Bridal.

If you insist on going outside an established dress manufacturer I would strongly advise against a Chinese manufacturer.

You could try Wedding Dress Fantasy – they’re based in US and specislise in coloured and gothic styles and also :

That dress is gorgeous! My only piece of advice is that if you go through a foreign shop, just remember to budget import duties into your budget. If that’s the only way you get the dress you want, it will be worth it in the end to go with a reputable shop in China or elsewhere. But from what I’ve read on other threads, it can cost up to an additional 20-30% depending on what it is or how much it costs.

I am sure you could find some by legitimate designers who stock in the UK that are similar, that way you can just go to aboutique, be able to try things on, and know exactly what you are getting.

Also if you really don’t want the ‘cliche gothic wedding dress’ you could abandon the black all together and just look for more vintage/antique/unique wedding dress styles. There was just a gothic bride on ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ not too long ago and she was going through the same thing not wanting the stereotypical dress. Plus you could probably find something much easier at a local shop, just something to think about.

Where abouts in the UK are you located? I got my dress from a local shop who stocked Victoria Kay dresses, she does quite a few different coloured styles but I think will also do custom colours. I also found a shop in Worthing on the South coast that I was going to visit but I found my dress before I went there, they do all kinds of custom things and have a shop wher eyou can try things on, or order a sample:
