I am not even married yet and I have my new name in print.
I started in a new school district and had to get a new ID badge. I was joking with the lady that I would see her again in 2 months when my name changes. She asked if I was getting married and then said well lets just put your new last name on the badge to save me the trip back out the the board of education. I was so excited.
It looks so weird. This is going to take some getting used to. I showed my Fiance and he smiled and said he likes how it looks.
When did you first see your new name in print?

I was doing my place cards for the head table and saw it. There is a picture of me showing it to my new Brother-In-Law at the dinner.

I am almost done with the name changing process, trust me it doesn’t get earier, and to change your name you have to sign all the paperwork with your new name. I was totally unprepared for that!!! All my signatures look like an 8 year old signed their name!! My advice: Practice 🙂

I’ve thought about practicing, but I kinda feel like a middle schooler…. You know how they all write ther first name and their celeb crush….ex. Stephanie Bieber or in my days Stephanie Taylor Thomas…..lol

@sbharkness83: LOL @ Stephanie Taylor Thomas! Coming from Lindsay DiCaprio over here…
I am a long way from my wedding but I still practice my new signature 😉 And no, unfortunately, it isn’t DiCaprio!
