gpiglet:  Oh dear! No towel needed!

You also don’t need to elevate yourself or worry about “keeping them in”. The ones that will reach the egg are already past your cervix before you both seperate. The rest that are inside won’t reach an egg so it doesn’t matter.

Just enjoy yourself and have a good time. Don’t put too much stress on yourself!

gpiglet:  If you are a clean freak then a towel isn’t a terrible idea.  Usually we keep a roll of toliet paper next to the bed and it is sufficient.  Good luck 🙂

We always use a towel underneath, just in case. It doesn’t ruin the fun!

A towel is handy, but not necessarily under you, just to have available for after.

gpiglet:  Good luck and have fun! Just so you know, having sex the days leading up to ovulation is important in conceiving as well. The day before ovulation is when your chances are actually the best. Happy baby-making!

Pull out method would be much messier so I don’t think you have to worry. Just wipe yourself with a tissue at the end. And I wouldn’t put a towel down. You touch your bed every day with your body, this is no different.

Good luck!

gpiglet:  Honestly, if you are just guessing as to when your O date is (which is what an app does) then you would be much better off having sex at least every other day during your entire fertile window to guarantee you don’t miss it.

TTC newbie too…. We actually tried this month for the first time, too…. I downloaded 2 different apps, (fertility tracker and kindara) and  Even though I entered all the same info about my cycle, they gave me 2 different ovulation days… I didn’t take temps or do an OPK… so we just started the day before the beginning of my fertile week.. we would do a few days in a row, then every other day if we felt like it… and it worked. I got a positive test last night. Sore breasts started a few days ago and I had 2 pimples  on my forehead so I knew something was up. Regarding the mess question,  a towel nearby is always handy. When he pulls out, grab the towel to put on yourself…I laid back onto my neck with my legs straight up in the air which absolutely doesnt do anything but it made me feel like i was helping. lol   GOOD LUCK!!

Can I ask whether you’re charting your temps with this app? Most apps work around the ‘average’ cycle – if your cycle is 28 days it assumes you ovulate day 14. Through charting I’ve learned that actually I ovulate more like day 11! I’m not TTC but knowing my body really helps.

If you’re not charting I would really recommend it as it’s the only sure-fire way to see when you’re the most fertile. Also look out for that egg-White consistency cervical mucus. That’s your body’s way of telling you your body is ready for the baby makin’! Good luck!

Haha.. Wouldn’t hurt! I mean apps are basically a guess, but it helped me to visualize where I was at.. I agree with nearlymrshill:  .. Keep an eye on your CM For when it’s like an egg white consistencancy . there are different stages of it so it important to take notice of where you’re at. once it becomes egg white- stringy like- it allows the sperm to pass freely.
