Hi bees!
I used these boards when planning my wedding and now my Dh and I are ttc! I’ve been board stalking for the past few months before we actually seriously began and found everyone so helpful and supportive so I figured id finally reach out. a little background info..my husband and I tried about 6 months ago to ttc just by chance..no charting, temping etc. however after my last period we decided to try a little more seriously. My last period started on oct 30 and got a positive ovulation result on nov 11. About a 5-7 day after I got sore, tender and larger breasts and can’t sleep since I usually sleep on my stomach and a little cramping. My period is due this Friday so yesterday I took a frer and my Dh couldnt see a line and I thought I cud barely but don’t know if my eyes are playing tricks on me..you can’t even see it in a picture. So today instead of playing the line guessing game I got a digital and it came back not pregnant! I could of sworn I would be my body feels so differnet!! Is is psychological? Is there still a chance since I didn’t get my period yet?
I don’t know how so many woman can go through this month after month! You are all so strong, brave and Inspirational!

@nygirl222: It might just be too early to get a positive result. As a rule, the pink dye tests (First Response Early Result) will be able to detect a lower level of HCG in your urine than a digital. It’s also helpful to test with the first morning urine, as it tends to be more concentrated.
For what it’s worth, the month I got pregnant I could have SWORN my period was coming. I was SO certain in fact, that I bought a bottle of wine and a box of tampons at Target instead of pregnancy tests.
Wait a few days and test again with FMU and a FRER. Good luck!

You’re still 4 days away from your period, right? Test again on Friday morning!

@DaneLady: Thanks Danelady! I did try the early response test but I couldn’t tell if there was a line or not. I thought so Dh did not. Thanks for the support! I guess I will keep fingers crossed for a few more days!

@nygirl222: The problem is that TTC can also turn a lot of us (myself included) into major ‘symptom spotters’ it could be things that have always been there that we didn’t pay attention to that we now swear are symptoms of pregnany. The problem is that pregnancy symptoms are so close, and some the exact same, as PMS symptoms.
Test again in a few days with FMU and a FRER. Until then just have some sushi/glass of wine/breezer/ big ‘ol deli meat sandwitch and try and enjoy yourself.

@nygirl222: I totally feel you. I was horrible. I thought that every cycle was ‘the one’ except the one I actually got PG.
I chilled out with a nice glass of red wine telling myself it could be the last one and I wanted to enjoy it.
By The Way my last one was on a sunny afternoon floating in the pool. I enjoyed it, or rather the whole bottle. It was fabulous.

It could easily be psychological. The brain is very powerful, especially when you really want something to happen. You might look for and notice something you never would have picked up on before.
But it could also just be too early to detect anything. I wouldn’t count yourself out until you get your period. Test again Friday.

It’s tough! I tested three days before my period and had nothing show up. Then, on the day my period did show up, I noticed a few symptoms showing up. I wasn’t really looking for them, but there was enough to catch my attention. I took a test on the day my period was supposed to show up and it was positive.

@nygirl222: If your period isn’t due yet, I wouldn’t test until then. Bigger, more swollen boobs that hurt isn’t always a pregnancy symptom. I didn’t get any of that until after I got my BFP. I didn’t have implanation bleeding or even cramping. I think it is easy to symptom spot when we want to get pregnant so bad.
You may not always see a result this early, even with a FRER or digital. Test again when your period is due, and if it turns out to be negative, hold your head up as high as you can and try again 🙂

Test again with FMU – I had a line on my FRER but ‘not pregnant’ on a digital – they arent as sensitive. Good Luck to you!

@nygirl222: Well fX for you that you do get that much wanted BFP! The thing about TTC is that you are ever so much more in tune with your body than before. It may be that you had similar symptoms previously but without TTC you didn’t pay attention to the minor changes and twinges within your body.

@Treejewel19: +1. I’m not sure if it’s that I never noticed these things before I started charting, or they didn’t happen at all when I had my IUD. I think it’s probably both.
FX you get a BFP in the next few days though. Keep us updated.
