Hi Ladies,

This thread has been quiet for a long time! How is everyone doing?

I just thought I would do a short update as it’s long overdue but life is crazy busy.

I have PCOS and I am on Metformin – first month off BC and first month TTC. Advice of my GP and endocrinologyst. I used OPKs and got this on day 15:

Then one more peak and smiley face on day 16.

FF first said I ovulated on CD15 but then based on my temperature readings it changed it to CD17. I am 9 DPO today, no sypmtoms or i don’t know what to look for….:) ….. and I spent half an hour in bed in the  morning convincing myself not to test….  I  would like to wait until after the supposed date of Feb 27th for AF. My birthday is the week after so… fingers crossed for an extra special birthday present for me and hubby.

I’d love to hear some more updates! Hope everyone is doing well!

Pineapple

EDIT: The line was only almost as dark as the control line on both LH peak days… Would that matter?

@Pineapplepaper:  Hi there! I assume the thread has been quiet because most people have moved on to their second month (or are already pregnant – we had quite a successful group!!).

I haven’t been temping or using OPKs, just charting with dates and monitoring CM. I’m in my second TWW now, although my husband has been unwell and we didn’t get to have sex much in my fertile window, so I’m trying to keep my hopes ‘down’. I HAVE noticed an increased sense of smell… but as I’m the queen of symptom spotting (even back when we were using condoms so chances where miniscule) I’m trying not to make too much of it.

Looks like we’ll be testing around the same time – I’m trying to hang out until the 25th at least…

Perhaps you could ask your OPK question in the charters forum?? or in a new forum? there are lots of experienced charters around here ๐Ÿ™‚

I figured I’d give an update as well – I thought I had. ๐Ÿ™‚ This group was quite successful because on the October 2012 baby board, there are a lot of first TTCers there…and I’m happy to say I am one of them!! I got my BFP two days before AF was supposed to arrive. Also, we did book a trip to Europe, but I’ll be in my second trimester so should be fine. My first u/s is Feb 27 and prenatal is Mar 2 – can’t wait. Oh, and it was confirmed by my GP who recommended the OBGYN. Very exciting. Good luck to everyone else.

@Pineapplepaper:  There is now a 2nd timers club that was the follow-up to this thread!!

We just got married on Saturday and decided to start trying straight away.  I’ve been tracking for the last few months just so that I can get an idea what the craic is with my cycle, and yesterday was my most fertile day.  I know it sounds strange, but my sexual appetite has gone throguh the roof since I don’t have to worry about getting pregnant.  No killing of the mood running off to get a condom etc. What tips do you all have about raising vfertility, and are any of you following an old wives tales?

We started trying this month. I’ve been off BC since November, and had a henious period last week. I seriously missed my happy BC during those seven days.  Seven.

I should O today, according to Fertility Friend. I’m 36, so I feel like I’m either going to get pregnant immediately or it’s going to be a rough road.

I have to admit, it’s been a bit strange (in a good way) to have sex with no protection whatsoever. I have never done it without some form of protection – weird how that’s now a bit of a turn on ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m 4 days late – and I’ve always been regular…. I’m too nervous to test just incase I’m plain old late!
