BothCoasts:  Progesterone slows digestion = more gas. Just be grateful – I got the other end.

Normal. I have to sit up in bed all night to burp or I feel sick. I take tums… Kinda helps.

Oh gosh – I have the exact same problem, and I was really hoping it would go away 🙁 I’ll keep my fingers crossed but won’t hold my breath.  I honestly feel like the burping makes me feel even sicker than I otherwise would.

I’m burping a lot as well… like after (and during!) every meal and in between… it’s really embarrassing!!

BothCoasts:  I have honestly never burped this much in my entire life. It’s disgusting and makes me feel like I’m going to throw up.

Hope it calms down soon for all of us!

Lol this was AWFUL for me beginning at 12 weeks. I felt like a teenaged boy or worse.  I think it started going away for me around 17 weeks. Good luck!

Yes! With my first and now with my 2nd, I had this. I was told and have found it to be true, that means you need to drink way more water! Ever since I started drinking 5, 24oz bottles a day the burps completely disappeared.

BothCoasts:  This carries on into the second trimester, I can speak from experience right now. Literally just burped out loud while having a discussion with my co-worker. Thankfully she’s a mom of 2 and understood but talk about mortifying otherwise.
