How’s the rest of your relationship? Do you normally give gifts or spend time together? Is this out of the norm for him ? I see you are married, what did he do during your Valentine’s while dating?

I’m confused, isn’t it valentines tomorrow? Some people don’t make a huge deal out of valentines. Has he always been like this or just since you got married? Does he know it means a lot to you? How is you relationship other than this?

Is this what all celebrations are like for you?

My FI and I hate valentines day, we totally skip it. I think he’s going to the tailor tomorrow and maybe we’ll order salads together for dinner.

Curious to know what the rest of your relationship like? I think this stems from something more than just a hallmark holiday

zippy85 :  Um…Valentine’s Day aside…why are you with this guy?

zippy85 :  ok well in that case this doesn’t seem that far off base of what he is normally like. You married him knowing he doesn’t follow through with plans so it’s on you now. You either get over it completely and realize you won’t have the romantic Valentine’s Day you are looking for, or you create it yourself by being the one to plan.

It seems unfair to have this idea of what it should be like, not share those hopes with him, then be disappointed that he didn’t read your mind for how you wanted it to go.

I could be totally off base here if you’ve shared your wants and he has just ignored them though.

All joking aside Valentine’s Day is just a day. My FI and I skip it all together now that he knows I’ve been even anti Valentine’s Day for years.

It sounds like you’re using this as an excuse to express your discontent with your man.
