Thanks to all ladies who helped out on my previous thread about adding straps to my dress!
I have decided that I love the look of these ivory spaghetti straps on my dress. They help hold up my dress without taking away from the dress. I thought about beaded or crystal straps but the bodice is completely covered in beads and crystals and it just felt like I would be overdoing it. I am going to have a crystal headband or head piece on as well. Here’s the picture in case anyone else considers adding straps to their dress.
This is the before pic without straps above..
This is the pic with the straps below: And its my length!! pinned up but looks great already!
Yes, I do feel like the straps will sort of chafe/pinch my shoulders, but beauty is pain! I love the look of them and I am making sure that my seamstress really fits the dress to my chest and it fits my waist so well that I think it will hold up fine. AND, I can tuck in the straps occasionally if they bother me!! Sweet deal! I am one happy camper!!
the pictures got cut off of the straps in the back so I am posting this pic of a Martina Liana dress with straps that are like mine. (only mine are not sparkly since the bodice is COVERED in sparkles 😉 I love the look of those straps with a low cut back. Mine will belike this with the straps to the side.
And finally, if you havent seen enough, heres the side cap:
Phew! Ok ladies, Im done!
I just stressed over this whole strap thing being that I am small chested and worrying about holding the dress up. And especially being in a Catholic church. so, hope this helps if anyone else has these problems 😉
