Did he say why it would take till next year and why it could no longer (possibly) be this summer? Why the changes? I think it’s a legit, non-probing question to ask. If you had some general plans for a general time period, what happened that he is now forced to postpone?

I totally hear you when it comes to uncertainty. I don’t need every last detail, but I need a yes or no. Not a maybe, perhaps now, perhaps then, I don’t know. Yeah, doesn’t work for me. πŸ™‚ You might be in a bit of a funk. Hope you feel better when you get back. Let us know what he says if you do ask him more.

@Bellanouva: Glad you are feeling better, congrats on your upcoming engagement. I totally agree that waiting can make you a little loopy. I’ve had my fair share of those moments. πŸ™‚

Squee! That’s great! I wish I could send a note to all men looking to propose

lol. Seriously. There is a nice balance. Anyway. That is exciting….because it’s basically summer already!!! It’s going to happen any week now for you!

@Bellanouva: hey I haven’t been on the night chats lately, could have lent you my ear. Glad to see it’s worked out already, though!

Before my Fiance proposed, I think I had hit a bad point in the ‘waiting period’ without even knowing about it. I still wish I had known about WB about six months before the proposal LOL.

I was uber impatient, driven crazy by his “I can’t get a ring yet, I don’t know when, but it’ll def happen, before you know it” I mean, seriously? πŸ˜‰ We’d get into petty fights and I’d be silly and think it was never going to happen sometimes. But then he proposed, all the stupid worries in my head melted away, and I just felt like going back in time and slapping myself!

before reading your update about how you talked and he was putting you off but really planning for this summer, i was going to share my story to give you hope.  when my Fiance proposed (labor day weekend 2009), that very afternoon he led me to believe he had no ring bought yet and i was disappointed and thought, well i hope it happens during the xmas holidays then…….then he proposed that night!  i totally fell for his deceit and was totally surprised!

@Bellanouva:  ya i agree too. in my case it was for one afternoon, so i didn’t mind…and boy was i shocked and happy in a super good way!  plus a year prior after we had looked at rings, i told him the only thing i wanted with regards to the proposal was that it be a good story to tell AND that i  be surprised….so he was just doing what i asked, lol.
