I had my first one last week!  I dreamed that it was the day of my wedding, and I wanted to use Crest Whitestrips one last time.  I woke up early, and put them on.  But then I got so excited about the wedding day, that I forgot to take them off.  So three hours later, I was putting on my makeup, and I realized I still had the Whitestrips on.  I peeled them off….and my teeth were BRIGHT BLUE!  Yikes.

Definitely not gonna use those on the day of my wedding haha.

I had one earlier this week — I dreamt my cousin (who isn’t even engaged haha) was getting married the same day as us. I remember *freaking* out & seeing her sitting in my parents old house all done up in a dress, make up hair the works & I was bumming around in my jammies!

I woke up laughing because it was just too ridiculous.

Oh man, I have them all the time. Last week I had a dream that our wedding was actually Jauary 9th instead of July 9th, and our limo broke down in the snow, and my bridal party and I had to trudge to the reception hall in snow boots in like 3 feet of snow, and then I cried because I realized I forgot my wedding shoes. Last night I dreamt that none of our vendors showed up. It was just my Fiance and I and 170 guests with bare tables, no flowers, no food and no music. I was devestated.
Clearly I have anxiety that I’m going to fail at executing my wedding, but at this point its too late to get a planner so I’m just going to have to have faith in my planning skills and suffer the nightmares!

Earlier in our engagement, I had this reoccuring dream.  It was the day before the wedding, and my mom was nudging me to get ready.  For some reason we had an out of town wedding that we needed to travel to and while packing, I realized that I had not sent the invitations yet, my dress wasn’t ready and I had no hair and make-up appointment. So while travelling, I had to try and pull all of this off the night before my wedding, thinking what a desaster this was going to be.

OOOH! I’ve had about five or six already and I’m dreading more to come! LOL, Some of them I have forgotten already but other I have not. One of them I opened the bag to my dress and it was this UGLY lace, poofy shouldered PURPLE dress. It was hideous and about five sizes too big. My Mom kept telling me It looked fine and it DID NOT. Meanwhile our guests were lurking and were zombies… weird.

Another one I had, was it was time to get married and we had no one to marry us, I forgot to get a dress, and it was super windy.

The last one I had was last week. No body decided to show up to our wedding, and again nothing was done and I looked hideous. I was suppose to get my hair done but it was like 2pm and my wedding started in 30 mins, so there wasn’t enough time to do a nice job.

I hate these dreams I know it’s a reflection of my anxiety about the wedding but I keep having them! Can you tell I’m concerned about getting everything done and TIME! lol

@MrsMcGyro– We are worried about the same things lol

Mine was a few weeks ago. It was during my reception and I was wearing a beautiful white wedding gown… and every other girl at the reception was also wearing a white long wedding dress… Arrggg…

I’ve only had one so far, and it was a couple weeks ago.  My hair and makeup team never showed up, the wedding was starting hours late, and there was just a little tupperware container of mashed potatoes for all 130 guests.  I told my hair and makeup people at the trial about my dream, and they assured me there is no possible way they wouldn’t show up–my makeup girl said even if she totals her car or something her husband would drive them to us.  It made me feel silly for worrying but glad she’s so confident!

I actually had a ton of awful ones before we were engaged. In one of them, Fiance bought me the ring that Bella has in the Twilight movies (sooo not my style) and I couldn’t stop crying.

My only wedding dream has been that we didn’t book an officiant and our photographer was late and drunk and the horse pulling the carriage started wildly tramping everywhere and my dad had to pull and Indiana Jones move to make him calm down (seriously, my dad pulled a whip out from under the seat and lassoed the horse). I also want to say that there were live ostriches in there somewhere, lol.

It seems like the more vendors I book, the less I have awful dreams about the wedding going wrong, lol.

I’ve had a couple. Ugh! The worst was a few weeks ago after I found out that my wedding venue is being sold, but that ours is one of the last weddings they are doing. So in my dream, we showed up a few hours before to get ready and the whole place was derelict. It was like it had been decorated for a bright purple wedding and after the wedding everything had just been left to rot. It was disgusting. And we were standing in the ballroom and the floor boards fell through. Underneath we found a dead body and it was all wrapped up. My coworker told me she had killed her son and hid his body there! EEP!!!

I had been watching a lot of Dexter at the time of this dream as well, so I think that had something to do with the dead body part. LOL. But I think I am really nervous about the state of the venue since it is now being sold. I am worried the owners aren’t taking care of it. I drove by it just the other day to make sure it was still there.

Oh goodness the stress!!

I’ve had a few over the last 18 months, but they are becoming more frequent with 3 this week.

This week I dreamt that I was starting down the aisle, but ther was no music.  The maintenence guy (an old hippie) at my office was running my sound and said he couldn’t find the CD.  I asked if he could use my IPod.  He said he could, so I ran (in my dress and veil) all the way home (several miles) got my IPod and made a playlist while running back.  Then i became concnered becuase I was hot.  I woke up drenched in sweat.

I also dreamt this week that my cousin took me to a super upscale salon in LA.  When I left the guy had turned my shoulder blade length brown curly hair into Betsy Johnson’s hair.  When I went back to him he told me how wonderful I looked now.  I just remember crying.

I’m hoping as I tick things off my to-do list the dreams will be less scary and more funny.

@SamanthaSadlier:

Holy crap, what a scary dream! I do love when tv shows work their way into dreams though. I swear the cast of Real Housewives have been attendees in my dream weddings on multiple occasions.

I love these posts! I have nightmares ALL THE TIME! I dreamt that my Fiance parents said they were not coming to the wedding because of a family issue they had to take care of.

I also had a dream that on the day of the wedding I showed up to the church late, but the inside of the church was a department store?? I had on regular clothes, and my hair and makeup was not done,  I was getting dressed in a fitting room as the ceremony was taking place!

Another dream I had was that our reception was held in some run down hall, it was decorated for a kids birthday rather than for a wedding,  and we were playing music on some 1980’s boombox! my mom kept telling me to lower the volume, and I was getting annoyed that no one was paying any attention to me.  So weird!

So I had a weird dream a few weeks ago that my wedding dress that has a beautiful sweetheart neckline had grown ugly sleeves.  Nobody would help me tie my corset up or help me with the dress at all.  My reception was not set up at all, so I was walking around holding my dress up trying to set things up before the wedding.  I woke up and was freaking out.  I said something about nobody wanting to help me with my dress.  Fiance, says all soothing, “It was just a dream, it’s ok, go back to sleep because I want to go back to sleep.”  Yeah, he’s really sensitive.  Gotta love him.
