While my mom is covering the wedding, which I still don’t have a clear idea of yet (tropical private ceremony with celebration cocktail party back home or the big traditional to do), I am covering items like his ring and my dress, shoes, veil/head stuff, hair, makeup, etc.
Bees, little has excited me besides looking at tropical beaches and ring shopping for him. So I am so exicted!
We looked at a lot of different rings for him and at a lot of different places from local to Tiffany. We want our rings to match to some degree. Mine is from Blue Nile, so we started looking and he loves this:
So, I bought it. And I am so excited! (Side note, BN is having a wedding band sale. I had no idea, so woohoo!) He doesn’t know but he keeps bringing up how it is his favorite. It makes me giddy to know I get to surprise him with a ring in the same manner he surprised me. 🙂
Now I am wondering if I should mix metals to “match” his. My ring:
The wedding band I am thinking of:
And I am wondering if I should do double bands on either side of the Ering as I really like stackable and that sort of look.

I would go to a store so you can try bands on, even if you don’t plan on buying from there. Because what we imagine and what we like in person can often vary.
Many mix metals and I don’t see an issue with it but it’s down to personal preference. So I suggest trying on to see how you feel about it on yourself.
For what it’s worth me and my Fiance are going to have different metal wedding rings and that’s okay, no one is going to compare them side by side and I think you should like what you wear as it’s something you should enjoy everyday 🙂

your engagement ring already matches his wedding band but I really like the wedding band your looking at for yourself! If you don’t want to get it in white gold, you could always get it in yellow gold and stack a thin white gold band or spacer in between your rings. Just a thought 🙂

I played with a few of my mom’s bands as she has two plain gold bands and then my dad gave her a halo ring with diamond wedding band for their 30th set in platinum, so I have had the chance to play with both. I like both. And the prongs on my ring are platinum, so I feel it compliments well. I didn’t realize the gold in his band is more of a rope look and now I am wondering about a rope style band set… 😉 but I agree, I think hitting up a store to try a few different options is best. Plus, a little fun. And it is about what I would enjoy on a daily basis overall. Playing at a store was how I figured out I didn’t want a large stone, setting bling, or white gold /platinum. My wanted erings before I played were very different than what we went with and what I realized I really liked. Thanks for your insight!

oh, I love that idea of the yellow gold band and spacers in white. Thank you! I am now thinking of a thin rope wedding band and the another band to match the rope detail in his. I can say this, due to the engraving on my ering, plain gold bands look a little blah with it. Almost too much shine from the gold in the bands.
