Congrats!!!!

I spent the first of mine last week, but just on mason jars, not quite a “committment”, hehe 🙂

That is how I felt when my mom put the deposit down on my dress. I called my Fiance and said ” looks like we are REALLY getting hitched!” =) Congrats!! =)

I remember when I started buying things for DIY… it feels like so long ago now, but you feel sooooo “in it” when it happens! Woo!

What about cute diner if you not wanting formal. I have seen people do that and I think that it is so cute and makes for awesome pics!

@luli29, That looks really nice and still has the funky vibe that you are looking for. I know what you mean about wanting to be accommodating to the parents, as I went through that myself. Perhaps you can find a trendy Spanish restaurant of some kind in your area. Or maybe the location that you like could do a Spanish themed menu just just for you. You could also bring in the Spanish vibe that you are looking for through centerpieces and some cute favors.

How exciting! I don’t remember what our first wedding purchase was, but I do remember how it felt to ask our pastor to officiate (1 week after we got engaged). Also, so many times during our engagement I teased my now husband by saying “you do realize you can’t back out now, we’ve spent money on this thing.”  There’s no way either of us would have backed out, but it was fun teasing him.  🙂 🙂

omg wait till your first huge chunk of money- you get that rush all over again and it is like “omg this is real!” we are doing our final deposits right now and I feel a little rush every time! Almost like I didn’t really believe we would have a cake till it was paid for.

For me every time I give a vendor a chunk of change it’s more like “oh my god this is so much money.”
