We kept it simple and followed the traditional wedding anniversary gifts by year. The first anniversary is “Paper Anniversary.” I thought it would be a sweet idea is to start with that theme, and do the traditional gift every year. A little creativity makes it more fun

I’m not sure if your husband wears cufflinks or tie bar, but I worked with a designer who customizes them with your vows or wedding song, inscribed on paper. It’s called Paper Anniversary by Anna V. It’s a classic keepsake that reminded us of our promise & vows….my hubby cried

Happy Anniversary!

_blackbird_:  He was working our first year 🙁 out of town. So when he got back , we celebrated with just an at home dinner and ate our cake from the wedding. We also, at the same time gave ourselves the gift of animals lol. We we got a kitten and three ducklings lol.

I never knew that the first year was the paper anniversary? Lol my parents never did things like that neither his were not really traditional so we just decided to do something fun since we really didn’t have a honeymoon so we went sky diving it was so much fun I think every year we will do something off our bucket list because we think of ourselves as a fun young couple and like to travel and do exotic things can’t wait for next year!

Our one year anniversary is next week, so we are staying one night in a resort in the mountains.
