I was going to do a DIY advent calendar for Mr. D but I think I ran out of time to do it right. We always exchange stockings, and we do a PJ exchange the night before Christmas. This year I’m going to make a Christmas Eve box (saw the idea on Pinterest!) with a movie, marshmallows, popcorn, mugs and hot chocolate, too.

I buy ornaments each year that have something to do with the events of the past year, and we always have one photo frame ornament for each year with a picture of something from that year.

We’re trying to keep Christmas small in terms of presents, but we’re hosting my inlaws, so I’ve been thinking of lots of little fun things. 🙂

Oh! And I think whatever you cook for breakfast becomes a tradition of its own… everywhere I’ve ever spent Christmas, the family always seems to have the same thing for breakfast every Christmas morning, so I’m trying to think of something awesome for us.
