Anyone have experience with a One and one of the other FitBits? I am looking for calories burned and steps taken. Not sure how I feel about wearing a bracelt 24/7 as Im not a huge jewlery person, however would totally suck it up for this as my goal (like most) is to loose some pounds by wedding time. Thanks.

netflixandchill: I originally purchased the One. I thought that I would hate wearing a band. But I actually hated clipping something on to my pants WAY more. So I took it back and got the Flex which I LOVE. You can get different band colors which I like because I can change the color based on my outfit. It can track sleep, has silent vibrating alarms, calories burned, steps taken, and all that jazz. The Charge is the one my SO has which has a watch face and can show caller ID when you have incoming calls and it can track flights of stairs. My Flex can’t do that.
Honestly, I would recommend the Flex if you dont want something big or bulky. If you think you would wear the Charge more bcause of the watch then go with that.

Flex is not accurate at all!! I have the Charge HR & love it.

I had a One, and it worked quite well, I liked it a lot but I usually clipped it onto the center of my bra, and depending on the bra, it would show thorugh my shirt and look like a third nipple. I stole DH’s Flex and I like it way better. It’s narrow enough that I don’t really notice it, though when it bites the big one, I’m going to get a Charge HR. I just can’t justify buying a new one while there are 2 working in the house lol!
They’re way too expensive, but the Tory Burch Flex bands are beautiful.

I had the flex and went to hr. The flex band is flimsy and I lost it! I’ve been rocking the HR and love it. The only problem i have is I fly a lot and it counts me climbing flights randomly.

I have both the Flex and the Charge HR.
I wear my Charge when I’m working out or lounging around the house and carry the Flex fob in my pocket on a daily basis, because I’m shallow and don’t like the look of the plastic bands. I bought some Fitbit jewelry from a third party vendor and it’s nice, but I’m just not big on bracelets or watches. I love my Fitbits. It’s been over a year since I got my Flex and now I’m never without one or the other.

I have the Charge HR as well and like it a lot. I wouldn’t say it’s 100% accurate, but it’s good enough for my purposes 🙂

I have a surge, I absolutely love it! As an avid runner and fitness enthusiast it’s great. I don’t have expe personally with the others, my best friend has the charge hr and loves it, it’s relatively small. When she doesn’t want to wear it if she’s dressed up, she’ll look it on her belt loop so her steps are still counted. There are also sites out there that sell accessories to dress it up and make it not look so “fitness watch”.

Ok I have the flex but aside from that, has anyone else had an issue with fit bit only allowing you a very small amount of calories per day? Currently I am over budget if I eat more than 700 calories a day. And that is after logging up to 7 miles on a bike or a mile or so walk in the morning. (baby steps) but I just feel so hungry at the end of the day 🙁

herrera2016: Uh this makes no sense. There’s no reason you should be eating 700 calories a day. I suggest ysing MyFitnessPal instead. It syncs with Fitbit.
OP, I have a flex. I kind of hate the plastic band, so I bought a beaded bracelet off etsy and it looks exactly like a cute bracelet! So there are options out there to make it more attractive.

Check out bezelsandbytes to make Fitbits (whichever one you end up getting) look better. There are other 3rd party jewelry makers, but this one makes accesories for the One, the Flex, the Charge, and the Charge HR.

I bought my husband the Charge HR. He really wanted the HR feature for when he works out. Besides, I’ve heard the Flex has awful battery issues. After a few months the battery stops holding a charge and they’ll send you a new one but the same thing will happen to that one eventually. It actually happened to my coworker and now she doesn’t wear it anymore.
I plan to get the Caeden Sona. Apparently that company makes top of the line products and the Sona is supposed to be very accurate in it’s readings. And it’s super pretty! You can pre-order it now for the same price as the Fitbit Charge HR. The only thing I don’t like about it is it doesn’t have a screen but I can get over it.

Maybe explore beyond FitBits? Lots of different companies have similar activity trackers. My Darling Husband has Charge and my mum has Flex. After trying both of them, I got the Polar A360 which my Darling Husband and I have found to be a lot better… now he’s planning to get one too.

I had a flex. I hated wearing it on my wrist all the time and it was not accurate. At all. My Fiance would go for a walk or run and he would have way more steps than I did (his was more accurate, we did some experiments with distance).
I switched to the One and I love it – I clip it to my bra, so no one ever knows it is there. I purchased a band to wear at night – which is way better than wearing it all day. The One, in my experience, is way more accurate.
