Has anyone tried fitflops? I’ve been curious for a while but the price was always a little steep for me to bite the bullet… Now that they’re on sale, I figured I’d try them. The reviews are pretty uniformly positive, but I’m trying to keep my expectations low. I’ll be happy to have another comfy pair of sandals, anything in terms of toning benefits will just be icing on the cake.
Does anyone have a pair, and how do you like them? I was thinking of getting a few pairs for my maids if I really like mine.

Hey TandM — I do have a pair that I bought a few months ago. They are my go-to flip flops when I am walking our dog or on long walks as they don’t hurt my legs, feet or back. They are my favorite pair. As for the hype? I am not sure whether they are shaping my legs or not but I did feel different the first few days I wore them.
If you choose to buy them be sure not to get the strap wet. Mine got wet walking on dewey grass this weekend and I am still trying to scrub the black ink off the top of my feet.

I have a pair and have been wearing them for about a month. I can’t tell if they work, but they don’t hurt like some other flip flops do. They have a few different styles (I think I have the original one but tried some of the others at the store) and they all feel different. Even within the same style, different colors seemed to fit differently at the store for me, so you might want to test them out.

I have a pair – they are really comfort as flip flops (they have pretty good arch support, and the bottom of my feet aren’t tired at the end of the day like usual) but I didn’t really see any difference in terms of toning or firming.

I was wondering about this myself after doing some brisk walking for an hour in super cheap flip flops this weekend (ouch) and remembering that I’d seen something about shoes which were supposed to tone you while you walk.
But I think they looked different than these…..I’m going to see if I can find them. If so I will come back and post a link to those as well. If not, I’ll probably order these today so thanks for sharing, esp. the coupon code!

Oh, they dont’ have black, or my size. And a Google search didn’t help me find the ones I’d remembered seeing on tv.

Thanks bees! your input is super helpful–
RoddyBride & crayon78, great tips! wheresmydessert, glad to know you like them. I figure the whole "toning" aspect is just marketing hype but I’d be happy just with the increased comfort.
Lorienne, sorry you couldn’t find them! I’ve seen the MBT walking shoes with the dome-shaped sole (http://us.mbt.com/) but haven’t heard of any others that are supposed to do the same thing. Let us know if you do find them.

They are super cute and verrrry comfortable. Like the others, I don’t know about the ‘toning’ and whatnot but they do have a lot of support and I wore them on the elliptical when I broke my toe and they worked out great.

They dont work to their claims, but they are comfy!

they are comfy but are not for wide feet =T. as for the toning aspect, it doesnt work. I recently purchased MBT shoes and they are awesome and they do tone your legs. my calves and legs ache a little the next morning after i wear them. feels like i had been working out.
