I’m interested to see if anyone has a great response. I don’t have a solution, unfortunately, but I share this problem.

I noticed a huge difference when I started wearing moisture-wicking fabrics when working out. Never cotton! I invested in a few good quality pieces from Athleta and Lululemon and haven’t had many problems since. I also love using Neutrogena’s grapefruit Body Clear body wash, not just for the acne-fighting ingredients but also because of the refreshing scent.

Are you going to work right after working out? If you can’t shower right away, bring face wipes with you to the gym and give your body a quick wipe down.

huskylove9999:  So I have this exact problem and I made a couple changes that completely made a difference for me. As soon as I’m finished working out, I go straight to the bathroom and take my sports bra off. It doesn’t matter if I’ll be home in two minutes. A bikini competitor at the gym I go to suggested that when I mentioned being annoyed by it and asked how she kept back acne at bay and she was like omg mine is awful unless I take my bra off. So now i do it too and she was right! My back acne cleared up. Also, I shower as soon as I can after and I use Dr. Bronner’s soap. It’s a Castile soap that cuts through grease, sweat, dirt, everything. I feel sticky and dirty after a shower when I use other soaps now. It’s seriously amazing!!

Good luck! I know how frustrating it can be!

This is me too. It’s frustrating as heck.

I read a (slightly?) weird piece of advice from the acne.org message boards. Someone suggested using Head & Shoulders regular shampoo in lieu of soap on your back. Something about how the ingredients help bacne. I’ve been doing this for a week and my bacne seems to be drying up, but another big one appeared on Friday. I won’t give up quite yet, but it’s annoying!

yep, get rid of the cotton, wear moisture wicking stuff like pp said, and wash with a soap with salcylic acid in it.
